The Connaught Patisserie

London’s The Connaught has opened a standalone patisserie on Mount Street, adjacent to the prestigious Mayfair hotel.

Conceptualised by Ab Rogers Design, the space features rose-hued marble floors, pink polished walls and hand-blown pink crystal lighting along with pink and white furnishings – complementing the intricacy and vibrancy of the speciality cakes on offer.

Executive pastry chef Nicolas Rouzaud has created a menu that features 10 seasonal pastries such as apple Tatin and yuzu éclair. The patisserie signature is a detailed chocolate hazelnut hound cake, an edible replica of the hotel emblem.

Larger cakes can be ordered for celebrations and events, to be collected or available for delivery within Mayfair. The patisserie has also partnered with Hammersmith institution The River Cafe, which will deliver its chocolate nemesis dessert daily, the first time it has been offered outside of the cafe.
