NYC-based Champalimaud Design has revealed its interiors project for The Vail Residence, a ski-in, ski-out chalet in Eagle’s Nest.
The interiors company, whose other projects include the recent refurbishment of Raffles Singapore, worked closely with the owners of the property on the residence, creating a space that is elegant and sophisticated yet relaxed.
Koa timber panelling throughout the residence lends a luxurious finish, accented with the owner’s extensive art collection – the pieces from which were used as inspiration for many of the rooms. Bespoke furnishings make the most of unused space, including a sofa designed with a wooden back, which tucks into the squared corner as an alternative table surface.
