One of London’s oldest luxury shopping destinations, Burlington Arcade, is turning 200 in 2019 and is marking the occasion with a selection of limited-edition releases in partnership with its illustrious tenants.
One such collaboration, Manolo Blahnik has designed an exclusive regency blue-hued stiletto for Burlington, finished with an embroidered MB rosette.
The famed shoe designer expressed his appreciation for the arcade, saying: ‘I have adored the Burlington Arcade from the very first visit. It has that intimate feeling and one always feels welcome, especially when the Beadles greet you at the entrance. It is an elegant place with history and tradition and the shops that occupy it share the same qualities as I find essential in beautiful hand-made products. Honestly, I could not think of a better place to be.’
