A whimsical room has popped up in one of Paris’s most luxurious hotel suites. Le Bristol Paris has collaborated with pop artist Bertrand Lavier, who has transformed the hotel’s Paris Suite living room into a live-in exhibit.
The colourful design was inspired by the Disney story of Mickey and Minnie Mouse’s adventures in a modern art museum and is the hotel’s third collaboration with the Parisian gallerist, Kamel Mennour. In stark contrast to the sitting room, the suite’s other rooms have maintained their classically Louis XVI-style interiors.
Those who aren’t booking the Paris Suite need not miss out on a taste of the fun, with a selection of the artist’s three-metre-high sculptures also installed temporarily in the hotel’s gardens.
A ‘Suite Paris by Bertrand Lavier’ package is also on offer with a tasting in the wine cellar and dinner with the artist at three-Michelin-star Epicure restaurant (subject to availability). Included is daily American breakfast, VIP round-trip transfers, as well as a private tour of the Bertrand Lavier exhibition at the kamel mennour Gallery. The exhibition runs through 25 May 2019.
