German wellness centre and medi-clinic Buchinger Wilhelmi has announced that Leonard Wilhelmi will become the fourth-generation director of the business. Situated on Lake Constance, the clinic was founded in 1953 by Dr Otto Buchinger and has since become renowned for its effective approach to wellbeing through medical fasting.
Leonard will take the reins from his father, Raimund Buchinger, whose 40 years with the company included 34 as managing director. Raimund will stay on as president of the group and chairman of the advisory board, offering strategic advice. Buchinger Wilhelmi will celebrate 100 years of its method in 2020.
