Historic Yorkshire property Grantley Hall has opened its doors following a three-year refurbishment.
The Grade II-listed house, a member property of Relais & Châteaux, comprises 47 rooms and suites, a wellness space and an English Heritage-listed Japanese garden.
Retaining a country house style, owner Valeria Sykes has worked with local suppliers on a contemporary update to the property, while highlighting the building’s longstanding features such as original fireplaces, oak panelling and intricate cornice work.
Reputable chef Shaun Rankin heads up an eponymous fine-dining restaurant at Grantley Hall, while other culinary options include Pan-Asian EightyEight Bar and Restaurant, and all-day relaxed dining spot, Fletchers.
