Luxury jeweller, Boodles, has announced a partnership with Petra Diamonds, owner of the famed Cullinan Mine in South Africa. The mine was the site of the world’s largest rough gem diamond discovery in 1905 – at 3,106 carats; it was then cut into nine major stones, two of which are now in the Crown Jewels.
Cullinan Mine is also an important active source of rare blue diamonds. Boodles customers will now be able to shop pieces curated with Cullinan Mine diamonds at the company’s showrooms, with the key giveaway a visible ‘C’ engraved beside ‘BOODLES’, marking their special character.
