Re-Nylon is the new project from Prada, recognising the brand’s commitment to sustainability by introducing a range of the brand’s iconic bag silhouettes in regenerated nylon called ECONYL®.
The fabric, which is able to be recycled indefinitely, is produced with recycled and purified plastic waste collected from oceans, fishing nets, and textile fibre waste. Prada has pledged to transfer all its virgin nylon into regenerated nylon ECONYL® by the end of 2021, as part of the group’s focus on promoting increased sustainability.
The collection launch features six styles for men and women, each of which bears a reinvented Prada insignia that signals renewal.
